Summary: I would love to see a fic where, in the episode Shawn Interrupted (the mental hospital one), they say that the most plausible mental illness for Shawn to have would be severe depression, as he has a history of it. The actual case does not have to play a big part in the story, if it is really explored at all, but I want the reactions of everyone to be the main part of the story. Gus and Henry can already know, or they can not, whatever you prefer. It should be canon up to that point, and as close to canon as possible after. Other than that, it's up to the author. Bonus points for some Gus & Shawn friendship/bromance. Thanks in advance :)

Summary:

In the Thornberg episode, Gus practically begs Shawn not to confess his feelings to Juliet.  I want to know why.  Is he afraid of change?  Of losing his best friend?  Is he trying to prevent Shawn from getting hurt?

  A while after I posted this challenge, I took it up myself, but the result was a bit slashy (nothing smutty, just implications that Gus's actions were a bit less than selfless), so you won't find it here.  But I'd still love to see other interpretations that are a bit more canon-grounded (or not, whatever - it's your story!)

Summary:

Drunk confessions of Psych characters:

We saw Lassiter open himself up to Shawn while drinking scotch in "From the Earth to the Starbucks".  What if other characters were in a similar situation? 

Juliet & Shawn -- Shawn enters a bar dejected as a result of yet another fight with Henry.  Gus is out of town, and who does he find already there?  Juliet, who has already had a few hours of drinking under her belt, either due to issues of her own, or maybe out with some friends from earlier who since have left.  She proceeds to let Shawn know her true feelings for him (does he confront her afterwards?  Will she remember what she said?).  And maybe before she unloads her stance on "Shules", she might also share her true feelings regarding certain other members of the Psych community?  (i.e Lassieface, etc.).

Gus & Henry -- Shawn is otherwise indisposed (home sick?  injured and in the hospital?  left town temporarily on his bike in a huff?) his absense is the direct cause for these two to be together (at a bar, or maybe Henry's house).  Either Gus, or Henry, or both can vent to the other while in their drunken stupor.  Hilarity can ensue, or maybe we can see the serious & caring side of Henry come out and play for a bit.

Buzz and Lassiter -- policeman's ball or other "work function" avec alcohol leaves a semi-sober Lassiter to deal with a drunk Buzz (heh heh.....drunk buzz) who spews all his fears and emotions on becoming a better cop or detective, or maybe his insecurities with his new wife, Francie (whos' gonna be so mad at him for coming home wasted!).

 Pick one, some, or all, or elaborate a scenario of your own little evening of imbibing by our favorite Psych members.

Summary: The year: 1986 and Shawn decides he doesn't like his nickname Goose, because of what happens to the character in Top Gun. Gus is somewhat unsympathetic owing to the fact that this would make him Maverick, the awesomest dude ever, even though Gus is more of a wingman himself.
