i want some shawn whump. i know there's alot out there but i've read most of it and i would love something new. it could be shawn on him motercycle and a suspect runs him off the road. someone thinks shawn gets too close on the case and knocks him around. he's out on the ocean trying to solve a case when he gets attacked by someone. anything! just something whummpy haha.

When Shawn was little, less then ten years old, it was discovered that he had a hole in his heart. And when it was apparent that the hole wouldn't close up by itself, he needed open heart surgery to close the hole.
Stuff you can do:
1. Shawn having to live with the symptoms of his heart condition before the surgery.
2. Henry sitting by Shawn's hospital bed.
3. Him and Madeleine wating as their son is being operated on.
4. Gus having to worry about his friend.
5. Shawn living with the aftermath of his surgery; the surgery risks and enduring his scar that everyone is so damn curious about.
It doesn't need to have these, or even be longer then a one-shot. I just want to hear about Shawn and his heart.
So? Go write it. Now!

Okay, this just came to me while I was watching one of my seasons and from another challenge.
Take the theme song line by line and insert it into a story. It can be a one-shot or a chapter story (as in, the line is the title of the chapter)
Rules are:
1. It cannot be italicized or on it's own. You either have a character say it or it's the title.
2. This is really optional, but if you make it a title, it should have something to do with the chapter.
Other than that, have fun, and you know the rules of the site. No SLASH or stuff like that. Shules would be good, though.

Anyone up for some major drama? If so, this challenge is for you.
What would happen if Henry was murdered and Shawn was the only suspect the SBPD could think of because of the evidence? How would that affect everyone around Shawn who knows he's innocent but there have been no clues left to prove it?
You can even add a twist of your own if you'd like.

A woman Shawn met on the road tracks him down. Her daughter was murdered, and she's desperate to find the person responsible. Finding no help from the cops, she is forced to go to the one person she didn't want to see... The one person she knows will do everything in his power to find the killer. The child's father.
No Shules beyond what is seen in the series. Aside from having a child he didn't know about, try to stay as canon as possible. Season. Age of the child should be between five and eight.

Shawn is stung by a little known jellyfish called an Irukandji.
Effects: Irukandji syndrome is produced by a very small amount of venom and includes severe pains at various parts of the body (typically excruciating muscle cramps in the arms and legs, severe pain in the back and kidneys, and a burning sensation of the skin and face), headaches, nausea, restlessness, sweating, vomiting, high heart rate and blood pressure.
This jelly has so far only been found in Australia. The trick is to logically bring the beastie to California.
No crack, we want the real deal with this. Keep it in-season, and no Shules, though there can be concern. Basically what you'd see between them in an episode.
