He came to this country with only a name and a few stories, holding tightly to the details that meant the most, to the ones he knew he could use.

The name led him to a face, mistakenly captioned in the local newspaper. But he didn't know that, didn't know how often these local American newspapers erred.

The face in the newspaper was Carlton Lassiter's, but the name on the man's tongue was Shawn Spencer's. It was proof enough, and nothing said otherwise could change his mind.

A case of mistaken identity puts Lassiter in the path of a dangerous, gravely calm and patient ex-con who arrives in Santa Barbara demanding a task impossible for even the most gifted local fake psychics. But he's desperate, he's been biding his time for the past decade, and he's determined to get what he wants.

Lassiter, unwillingly and reluctantly, is forced to play along—without the slightest inclination of how to be "psychic", let alone be Shawn Spencer.

Six months have passed since the events revolving around the return of the infamous Santa Barbara serial killer, "Mr. Yang". During a routine prison transport, Yang's escape is aided by a former Yin Yang Killer profiler who had worked side by side with the SBPD during Yang's latest return. There is only one thing Yang still wants, but first she'll play another game with Shawn Spencer. Everyone Shawn knows is now in mortal danger, starting with the two SBPD detectives he knows best.

Major spoilers for Season Three's "An Evening with Mr. Yang". 

Three months have passed since Shawn´s encounter with Sylar the shapeshifting murderer. And he is quiet lucky not to suffer any permanent damage from it. Having a few nightmares is completely normal he figures. Or is it possible that there is something more behind his dreams after all?

„So what does that mean?“ Shawn asked with a shivering voice, while looking into those dark eyes of the killer before him. „Am I dreaming you or you me?“

Sylar tilted his head for a moment, smiling almost amused. „Who knows.“ he said. „Maybe a little of both. Actually I hoped you could tell me.“

„But … that´s ridiculous. It doesn´t make any sense.“

„No. It doesn´t.“ Sylar agreed and halted for a moment, thinking this over. „But it could be fun.“ he found at last. He smiled mischievously. „I can´t wait to meet you again for real.“
