I love that you mention the overload of pink in here and I guess it's an Ok color just not my favorite.
And the banter, I am absolutely just in love with it it's ridiculous. I guess you need an outlet for the funny after all that angst in YWHOAOU.

LOL! I was writing my last review while you were posting this chapter. What a wonderful gift for me. This was a great chapter. John was still so very JOHN and we get a hint of Shawn's propensity for seeking out trouble. Awesome that he can drag Dean along just as easily as he does Gus. :D John is SO going to kick Dean's ass when they get back out of said trouble.

Yay sequel!! As with the first story, everyone is perfectly in character. Loved that John couldn't talk Shawn out of helping any more than Dean. :) Can't wait to see where this goes. Keep up the great work. The story is progressing at a nice pace, getting the good stuff without feeling rushed. Oh, and I LOVE the series title!
Really wish this site had an alert system like fanfiction.net. Would've found this new story much sooner.

xD This may be my favorite chapter of the Shawn/Dean saga yet, but I do love them all...
The argument in the car, followed by Shawn and Dean's stomachs growling that breaks up the stand off is priceless...and you used macerated, Dude, I love that word XP Then the fight over the Impala keys and John, Caleb and Jim coming in on the middle of it followed by Shawn pegging both men's identities on the spot.
John really needs to stop underestimating Shawn, lol. Until he does, he is going to be in for a world of shocks and surprises...much like the surprise he got after coming back in the room to find Caleb and Jim laughing from Shawn's comment. It's rare that a hunter would warm up to someone so quickly after meeting them, at least that is the inference I get from what Supernatural I've seen. So to have both of them being comfortable is definitely unusual, and it takes John by complete surprise.
Shawn's convincing Dean to go off and investigate with him, is so totally him XD...and he knows Dean wants to get out of research, he just takes a little bit of convincing first.
Oh, and I really love some of Shawn's lines this chapter--they kept making me chuckle...
"We already have a lead. The best friend from hell. Literally"
"It's a great idea."...."It's only the finesse with which we execute it that's in question" and then "that was way too mature" ROFL
And the ending line of the chapter that leaves us all in suspense, lol.
"Did I mention we’re being followed?”...no, Shawn, ya didn't
