First of all- I gotta say- it kills me no end that you named the victim Ted Stevens LOL! Not to meaningful to anyone anywhere else- but in Alaska, he's our newly re-elected Senitor, and up on charges for fraud and other nefarious naughties- heh. Yeah, he's so busted.
And OMG so many twisy tie-ins! Juliet on the phone with a girl looking for he brother- only to have him turn up dead! Vick getting better- the love birdiness between Lassy and Jules- the.. DUDE!! THE MELT MY BRAIN WITH SWEETNESS CUDDLE WITH SHAWN AND IRIS!!!!!! *heart hammers*

(Shawn scrutinized closer and discerned that those were actually already closed cases, from a while back, which were just going through the final paperwork stages. Seriously, though, how had he missed out on sea pirates and monkeys?)
I absolutly adore that line. I love the comedy in the beinning, but I also love the solemness of the end. Great start to the episde! :)

You have thoroughly sucked me in...thank goodness there's another update soon.
I also can't tell you much how adored this line. You could easily write a whole fic just on this little peek into the Shawn/Gus friendship. It's beautiful and funny and silly and poignant all at the same time. Simply masterful.
Enough, Shawn told himself. Gus isn’t here. He smiled down at Dahlia and resolved to enjoy himself; he’d had fun without Gus before. Lots of fun. Tons of it, in fact.
