Great chapter!! Love the characters still - all the way to the fight at the end. Also, excellent other characters as well - very real and funny.

I just love the word ficus- is has a nicely sharp, but well rounded way of rolling off the tongue. Like cheddar cheese.

I knew from the opening sequence that this update was going squee worthy! I love Gus' perspective - he's just way too awesome here. This time, THIS time he's not gonna let Shawn play against his trusting nature. In the classic Little Boy Blue epic that is Shawn and gus, this time Shawn is right! Paper mache' re-creations of one eyed lake monsters = love...big time. I love the banter throughout (heck, yeah I do!) I always love when we can get little sneak peeks into the guys' past. Gooey Chewey Guster and Shawn waiting for someone named Guster to come along just so he could use that nickname just SCREAMS classic Psych!!! Shawn swiveled the dial on the padlock a few times. "Come on… you know I don’t do well with begging… I'll even let you play the Rightous Brothers the whole ride home!" Oh my GOSH!!! Again, this is so dead on that is causes me physical pain from laughing so hard. You know, when you get stomach cramps from using muscles that you haven't used in so long. Yeah...laughing that hard. The way Shawn's sentence just drifts off leading into the moment where you so beautfully captured "The Lock Master" working his craft just makes this for me...it really does:) I love it when Gus gets his turn at man-smacks...subscriptions! d'oh! It doesn't happen nearly enough on the show and when it does...dude. Mr Bob is adorable. I loved the whole scene with him. I can picture this guy - I really can...in fact, I think I know this guy... And dear, dear Dragonnan - you score a tremendous, mindblowing WIN for the tension between friends. I am soooooo happy that you have referred back to Centipede's VS to pick up on Gus' dissapointmen with Shawn. Emotional whump? Heck yeah! And I really think you do Gus justice by doing so. In all honesty, he puts up with a LOT from Shawn. It is bound to wear on him once and a while. I loved the way Shawn kept recognizing there was something wrong with his friend and trying to pry it out of him. Gus strikes me as the type to keep things bottled in for far too long before they explode. I sense an explosion. I sense more Shawn abandonement angst. I sense that I can't wait until Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"And sing along without you butting in?"
Shawn nodded emphatically. "Yes! Now can you...?"

Woman, you do me in with your amazing responses!! XD!! I'm thrilled how much you enjoyed this story- I went through so many variations before finally being inspired to write a monster story! And I have to say, the fact that you were injured while reading this is very flattering! LOL!
Oh man, and I adore Bob on so many levels I can't TELL you!! And yeah, I've known people like him!

D= oh my goodness! Friends shouldn't fight! It makes people sad! I love it though =D we rarely get to see this kind of interaction between the guys! Hopefully its not a perminent thing though @___@ I can't wait to read what happens next! Thanks so much for the update!!!
