Damn! 5 years! And amidst writing others stories as well. My hat is off to you. Nay, a whole haberdashery!

Now Henry and Gus have heard the story straight from Shawn. I love that Henry got Shawn to laugh. Beautiful interaction of just these three.

Oh my gosh, you have done it again! I avoided this story because it had been incomplete for so long. But just like your amazing Fury series, I just couldn't resist. I literally read the whole thing this morning,, ignoring everything else I was supposd to do.
Eagerly awaiting the conclusion of this amazing story.

Author's Response: This makes me so happy!! I'm so glad you've decided to read this story and I'm deeply flattered by your comments! I'm doing my very best to be more consistent about posting chapters - and my goal is to try to get it to a chapter a week!  Hoping I'll have the next part ready soon!

Anxiously awaiting your next update! This is my favorite story on psychfic, you're an amazing author :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm halfway through the next chapter and hoping to have it read this week if possible!

I love this story. I really do. but I am really starting to miss Gus in this story. Shawn and Gus friendship deserves some love too. hmmm guess am not big a fan lassie-jules partnership being the focal partnership of this story. not trying to offend you or anything. just a very personal preference and I certainly don't expect everyone to agree with. but I just am really passionate about this tale. but that tiny little complaint aside I'm still loving the heck out of it. I hope you're not bothered by this review. I'm just a honest weird like that.

Author's Response: I'm not bothered by the review - but certainly I want to address that.  I'm not forgetting Gus at all.  It feels that way because of the way the chapters need to be structured to carry the story along at the right pace.  It comes down to making a choice between having a Gus moment simply to wedge him in somewhere or showing a crucial scene that, unfortunately, doesn't include him.  However, there is a LOT of this story left and Gus will certainly be a part of it.  I can even assure you that he'll show up in the next chapter as, at that point, it will work to include him and, even better, it will make sense to include him.  I feel, possibly, you may not have missed Gus and Shawn as much had this story been posted after it was completed because then you'd be able to move more quickly through the story rather than have to stop and wait for each part to be created.  I know how disappointing it can be to wait a very long time for an update only to have it not contain your favorite characters.  However, for story flow and progression, there will be chapters like this that focus on other characters.  And what's funny is that if I don't include Juliet and Lassiter at times, I'll hear about that as well from fans of those two leads.  So it may be a no-win but what it really comes down to is that there is a reason I write the story as it needs to be written and how I feel passionate about creating it.  That way it will be the best story I can possibly create.  :)

This is one of my favorite stories of yours! Will you ever continue writing it? I'd die if you leave us hanging! It's too good to be left alone!!

Wo! I didn't even remember Debbi!

So now Henry knows pretty much all. Man, there's going to be a lot of junk to work through when Shawn wakes up.

Did I tell you that after I first started reading this story I went vegetarian for a week? Yeah, I couldn't look at meat without feeling a little nauseous.

I might have to do that again.

It's my own fault for coming back to this story. It's just too good, though!

Ugh, this is a dilemma. :P

Love your stories. I only recently discovered Psych and you are already one of my favorite authors. I've been reading fan fic for a few years with another show and have written a number for that one (Stargate). I just noticed that you've been working on this fic for a long, long time. Is there anyway I could bribe you with cookies to get you to write faster and finish this one? I know it takes a lot of work but your fans will be very happy. Thanks and happy holidays

Author's Response:

Hi!  Welcome to Psych and Psychfic!  To start with, cookies are ALWAYS welcome and appreciated haha!  If that was all it would take to update this story, I'd be all over that!  And believe me, I want this updated as badly as you do!! I had no idea what a monster this story would become when I first started!  It isn't for any lack of desire or enjoyment that I haven't updated as regularly as I would like.  There are a LOT of things that get in the way of my happy fanfic times.  A huge reason why I've been slow in writing has had to do with my employment issues.  I'm working very hard to build a freelance career and it eats into a lot of my time.  It isn't uncommon for me to spend 10 - 12 hours a day focused primarily on my career (either working on contract jobs, working on my website, or creating more product for my online store).  I also have a ton of other fics that need my attention too (and, yeah, this was a self-inflicted problem, I realize).  As it is, I NEED those other fics to help keep me going with Gnashing.  Because this story is so dark and psychologically heavy, I need the break of my other stories in order to avoid writer's block.  The side effect is that it means it takes longer to update.  Ultimately, there isn't a way for me to write faster.  If I had figured out how, trust me, I'd be doing it! I don't withhold updates (I've known authors who do but I think that's crappy myself ) As soon as I get a chapter finished, I post it.  I can say that I've got a LOT of progress on the next chapter for this story and I'm really hoping to post soon!  and it DOES help me to know that people are still enjoying this fic!  I'm really flattered that you enjoy my work!

I promise that I'll work hard to get an update for this story as soon as I can!

So you know I just wanted to say that I'm still following this AMAZING story. And that no matter how far apart the updates are or how many other good stories I read in between, this is the one story that never fades from my memory. And I keep revisiting it often. Sometimes just delving into my favorite chapter or a scene. I just simply love it. And I kind of feel bad for not reviewing as much. But often I feel that my words wouldn't justify your talent.
There's such depth and intensity to it that each and every read leaves me emotionally drained. Even through such traumatic events are so spot on. This is what makes your writing so much more appealing to me. Your ability to keep your perspective neutral when writing for every character and keeping them true to themselves is spectacular. There's no hint of bias for/against any character. I respect you for this honesty. Keep up the good word. You've got a major fan in me.

Author's Response: *huuugs* aww thank you so much, this review is really wonderful!  Your comments that I write without bias is especially touching and lovely because I really strive to avoid personal feelings whenever possible!  I certainly have characters I feel dislike for - not the actors - but the "character" (but more a love/hate because they bring so much depth to the characters they affect! - ie: Maddie Spencer).  Still, I try very hard to write them true to who I 'think' they are and not let my emotions influence too heavily.  But it can be just as hard with characters I love, like Shawn - and being overly sympathetic in my portrayals.  It's too easy to fall into the "poor abused and picked on Shawn" mindset and forget that he has major flaws as well.  So the fact that you pointed that out specifically makes me so thrilled!!  Thank you again so much!

Oh My Gosh!!! I just feel for Shawn! I think this is an excellent story! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I get when I see there has been an update on it! And the ending of this chapter -- Shawn is definitely having a hard time coping with what he had been through...Hope they are able to get a few leads and catch the bad guy before too much more bad happens!!!
