Ooooh! This was fantastic! Full of suspense and my heart broke at the "He didn't even have a chance to call Mar-" line. Also, the way it cut off made me think the bomb went off! (Thank pineapple goodness it didn't!) In my head, they're both a little bruised and riding an adrenaline rush, but otherwise okay. *fingers crossed*

This is amazing, Deej! I love the way you have Lassiter's thoughts & side comments in parentheses all through the story. That's a really effective way to get Lassie's commentary into the story, and it's really creative. I also love the way you always capture Lassie so perfectly. Favorite line: "Lassiter called it disobeying an order to stay put." :-D
