Wow--Ever since the last chapter I'd been anxiously anticipating who the girl could have been.
It's so nice to see more of Lassie's past, as we really don't get much beyond the sleeping with his partner/divorce thing. Love seeing the character depth.
Can't wait to hear the story of how his niece ended up in such a rotten situation.

I'm loving this. It's making me giddy with emotion, and my eyes are currently brimming with tears. Of joy, of course. Lassiter, smiling and grinning and freaking everyone out? Awesome.
I can't wait for the next chapter! PS- This story should have WAY more reviews than it does. I've resolved myself to changing that.

This has got an interesting and intriguing start! I get the feeling you've got some big things planned and have put some thought into this just based on what you've come up with for a time line. I look forward to reading more :)

Nobody's reviewed you yet! Lazy people! (; Anyway, this is a great start. You're tackling a difficult subject--more power to ya! I loved McNab's unsureness and Lassiter's understanding with the girl. What really brings the story home is that this kind of thing happens and is happening everywhere. Kind of depressing. Anyway, keep it up!
