Haha, already read this on Tumblr. I think this is so true. And it actually scares me a bit that Shawn was ready to propose, with her knowing the truth. I mean, she deserves to know, right?
Author's Response: I totally know what you mean. I think it was because Shawn got scared of Juliet's "definite" expectations and that's why Shawn proposed. I think he isn't ready, at least he shouldn't be ready because of all the obstacles. And even if he is, him not telling about his fake psychic-ness, well it's going to be a very big deal.

Author's Response: When I saw that scene, I couldn't stop thinking of it. Especially how Shawn suddenly ran back into the SBPD? And his face? That was all I could think about!

Oh I read this on tumblr! I commented on it when I reblogged it. It made me sad :( I really hope that they can pull off this "I'm not a psychic" thing without really straining the shules relationship...
One can only hope, I guess...
Nice insight into Shawn's mind. And I like the use of 2nd person POV.
Author's Response: Psych maybe a really fun show, but there is just so many potential for underlying angst, you know? And I love that! Here's to hoping that the Shules relationship will pull through!

This is a terrific piece of writing. It touches on all the aspects of the impossible situation that Shawn finds himself in (and why he is there). You have laid out all the layered angst of how impossible it is for him to extricate himself from where he is now finds himself and how he longs to be able to do somehow find that way and not lose everything. His sharp intelligence both a curse (to know his situation) and no help at all in finding the one solution he wants more than anything.
Author's Response: Thanks! Serious Shawn doesn't appear all the time, but I'd like to think he's always there, underneath it all, thinking about all of the things that he's done, he's doing, and will want to do.
