"Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark" is honestly one of my favorite episodes, and this spin off was awesome!! It was really well written! :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I haven't really been writing or active on the site anymore, but it's nice to log on every once in a while and see a new reciew :) It's one of my favorite episodes as well.

Yay! A story based after one of my favorite episodes!
It was a packed one-shot. Like your 100 word fic, it left room to be expanded and turned into something longer but at the same time you kept racing us to the finish line because we HAD to know what happened.
Nice work! I look forward to seeing more from you!
Author's Response: Thank you :) I have all summer and a large part of my life has turned to both Psych and this website. I do tend to write shorter things (even my longer fic had short chapters), but I'm going to work on having a heavier balance of description and dialogue so that I can end up with more of a full length story. I'm happy you enjoyed this!

What an enjoyable whumpy one shot, I love stories set after Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark. I like how you made this whumpier than what happened in the episode, and gave us a hospital scene. Getting shot in the shoulder, and then having a sling a week later wasn't quite enough whump, I wanted a bit more.
You capture Shawn's post being shot attitude perfectly, he isn't living in fear, and is somewhat shocked that the bad guy manages to escape.
I love the bits from Lassie's perspective.
Author's Response: Thank you so much :) I tried to get them more in character for this because I tend to write dialogue-heavy fics and I wanted more description. And Lassiter's part was fun to write because you can think of it as him wanting to do good work not only because he is so passionate about his job, but because of his relationship with Shawn. They don't act like friends, but you know the connection is there and that they care for each other. And Shawn seems like the kind of guy to not be so worried after being shot. I'm glad you thought that I captured their characters well. And who could resist making it whumpier?
