How dare you. How dare you hit me with such perfect awesomeness first thing in the morning - because so much in this story ticks all my favorite boxes. The family feels, the sibling-like banter between our two favorite Psych dummies, Juliet's warm strength, Carlton being an adoring dad - in no universe Carlton Lassiter wouldn't be absolutely in love with the concept of being a dad and with the actual experience - and the badass, strangely heartfelt, adorably disfunctional dynamic between Henry and his brilliant headache of a son. I loved the call so much - Shawn's revelation and Shawn's tears, and the way they can get each other in surprisingly accurate ways, and the fact Iwas literally hanging on the edge of the seat because I honestly didn't know if by the end of this I would be crying my eyes out or grinning like a fool (I'm grinning and squealing, by the way). What a wonderful, festive, very Psych story. Thank you so so much for brightening my day :D
PS: Shawn half-forcing Lassie in a comforting hug - that was so, nice. So, so nice - the hate-love saga we deserve XD

The first half of this fic was so sugar-sweet that it hurt that much more when the second half started ;~; Just like the characters, I felt like I wanted that one scene to just last forever - but of course, that's not how life works. And then when his dad said he was proud of him - I'm not crying, I just have a lot of hormones, really XD
