Shawn's confession in the Cheif's office would be considered inadmissible in court because it was compelled by threats of violence from an interrogating officer, it would be thrown out as coercion. Also polygraph tests aren't considered admissible in court in Santa Barbra unless both the defense and prosecution agree to it's use in court, I doubt Shawn would agree to incriminate himself, his dad and Gus. Recordings can be admissible if it can be verified however it would be simple to discredit the validity of the confession, the context of their private conversation could be debated, Shawn could stick with the claim that he was fooling Gus, they'd be hard pressed to prove otherwise. With nothing but an unauthorized private conversation with limited recordings - the sound cutting out at times damaging the validity of the recordings- and a coerced confession at gun point they wouldn't have much of a case at all.

Ugh!!! I started reading this thinking not realizing that the story wasn't finished. You need to finish this! (I can't believe Lassie and Jules and Vick are being so mean about this. Didn't he still help them solve lots of cases, even though he's not really psychic?)
But the angst is great. Please update soon! :) :)
