“Gus?”
Shawn tapped his friend’s cheek urgently.
“Gus? Buddy? Time to wake up now!”
Shawn shook the salesman harder but he did not stir.
“How is he?” Jules approached, worry obvious on her face.
“He’s still out cold,” Shawn glanced around nervously. “Maybe we should call an ambulance?”
As if on cue, Gus twitched and his eyes fluttered open.
“Gus! Buddy! You’re awake!” Shawn visibly relaxed.
“What… happened?” Gus’s nose scrunched.
“Petterson ran away and shoved you after my Big Reveal.”
Gus’s mouth dropped open as he rubbed the sore spot on his head, “I think I need an MRI.”

Hey! Fresh update in 2025!
This fic will turn 12 in 19 days and I have 17 chapters to complete. I am going to attempt to do around one chapter a day and post the last one on 12/5/25 so that I finish this challenge finally on it's anniversary!
