Now that "A Very Risky Proposition" (aka "Risk") is done, I am devoting 100% of my time to working on my "baby" (or, the "dark fic"), as I call it. Started at the same time as "Risk", it has been woefully neglected for almost two years. It will be my first (and perhaps only) attempt at dark themes and it will be Shules (what else?)
As intense as this has been to write so far, it may also be the last story I write for Psych. It is set post-Season 6 and will ignore most of what happens for the rest of the series, although many things may end up slightly parallel. That's about all I can say for now. There is a great deal already written, but after doing a major overhaul of the plot, I now have a great deal more to tackle!
I have had so many people from this community help me along the way with this as yet unfinished work---please know, it WILL be finished. I will not post any of it until it IS in fact complete. So thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you: (Kirei, Noir Cat, darth_sparrow, jenni_fromtexas, and Redwolffclaw)!!!!!
While I'm on the subject, I want to acknowledge two special people, one who provided the original inspiration for "Risk" - Captain Riterra Smith (she hangs out at the USA Psych forum and has a fic on FF called "The Wizard of Terminal City") and my current Beta/Muse, The Amazing Silverluna (she really is amazing folks - her stuff is on Psychfic and FF, check it out!) Love you guys!
Thanks to everyone for reading the stories I've posted so far and for leaving so many wonderful reviews. Your feedback is so very encouraging! Feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions or suggestions!
December 2013 Update: Still here, still plugging away on "the dark fic". It may be that Psych will have aired its last episode long before I finish this puppy. All I can say at this point is that I am working on this and this alone. Any other notions I have/had about doing a sequel for "Risk", well, they'll have to wait. It is my hope to be done with "the dark fic" before the end of calendar year 2014. Thanks to everyone I've mentioned above for the contributions they've already made to this story!
