Summary:

Just because someone sees you doing something illegal doesn't mean you should kidnap them.  Especially when that someone is the Head Psychic (title unofficial) for the Santa Barbara Police Department.

Small, miniscule, tiny, microscopic spoilers for a couple of episodes that you won't even realize are related unless you've seen those episodes.  And even then, who knows?
Technically, they aren't even spoilers; just random facts taken from the episodes that had virtually no importance to the plot.  Little things.  That makes it okay, right?

Wow, great story!  I concur with Dragonnan that I love your truly unique and humorous writing style.  I an thoroughlyt engrossed in this fic now, please finish it.  I would consider it a crime against humanity if it is left unfinished like so many other stories on this site.  Update soon!

Author's Response:

Heh, thanks so much! Now that I have a better idea of where I'm headin' with this, it shouldn't be as long between updates. I hope, anyway.

Although...a crime against humanity? Yeah, okay. I can deal with that ^_^

Thanks again!

GREAT STORY!  Loved the way you started out with a line-for-line recreation of the final scene from "Lassie Did A Bad Bad Thing", but still managed to make it your own.  Then you detoured from the script and it really got interesting.  You are a wonderful writer and captured Lassiter's character very well.  Bonus, because Lassiter is by far my favorite character.

A big thank-you for writing this.  I'm adding it to my favorites.

Ok, you have to update this one soon. Seriously.  It's a great story.   It's the mark of a great author when you engross your audience so thoroughly (me) that they neglect sleep because they can't bring themselves to quit reading.  Good work, can't wait to see how this one ends.

Ok Elwa,I first discovered this story on FanFic.net, but have since looked it up on PsychFic (by far the better Psychfic site I must say).  I've been following it closely and reading in earnest.  I am waiting for you to finish this story.  It's GREAT!  Very entertaining, funny, with characters true to for.  I also like the fact that wou wrote Lassiter as a human being concerned for a friend instead of a total and constant jerk, like so many authors do.  KUDOS!

Please finish this one soon.  I'm looking forward to see how it ends.  It has been officially added to my favorites.  Thanks for writing it.

I concur that there should be a follow-up chapter to this story.  Nice use of suspense, very well-written, and everyone is in character.  This is a wonderful story, especially for your first PsychFic.  I also see that it is so far your only one.  My question: Why?  When you write this well, you should keep going.

I would love to see a follow-up chapter.  I feel it needs resolution, that right now it is incomplete as-is.  Don't be scared to hit us with more, you're a good writer!

I'm tagging a 10 in this one.  Slap it on a biscuit...

Although I usually don't like deathfics, this one written beautifully.  It was a particularly nice touch to see it written from Lassiter's point of view.  Much more interesting that the usual "Juliet pines for/feels sorry for Shawn" perspectivethat is usually present in such stories.

Nice fic, very moving.

This story is so wonderfully written!  It's funny, touching, and sad all at the same time.  It also provides a wonderful look into the depth of these two characters.  This has to be my favorite passage:

"Lassiter stood up, griping the table with one hand to steady himself before he regained his balance. “What the hell am I supposed to do tomorrow?” he asked quietly. “I told her we both had tomorrow. What does that even mean? I sounded like a damn greeting card. A greeting card ass.”

Hilarious yet heartbreaking all at once.  You have walked a fine line and made it work like an expert.

Thank you for writing this.
