I wish I had it in me right now to give you a proper review with a decent breakdown of your writing, but we'll just have to settle with this little blurb.
You're writing is excellent and your characterizations are superb. What's more is that you obviously have a professional level of understanding when it comes to narrative structure and I respect that above all else. Excellent work! I can't wait to read more!
There are all types of criminals. Some are super cool art thieves. Some are big brothers who happen to be badass spies. Some are personalities that live inside innocent dudes who are, on the whole, pretty decent people. But then there are the bad ones. The murderers. The game masters. The ones that enjoy cruelty and thrive on hurt. Shawn Spencer has helped to put away all of them.
He never thought there would be a criminal he couldn't beat.
He never thought he'd be drawn into a crime that would stain him with its atrocity.
How can he be the good guy... when he's done something so bad?

Awesome! I totally knew it was soylent green that he was eating. Is it wrong of me to crave Indian food now? Because I really want it now thatI've finished that chapter.
Author's Response: BAHAHAHA!! You, sir, fill me with incredible glee!! I'm thrilled that you're reading this little fic! And don't feel bad at all. Every time I write on this thing I get hungry lol!!

Effing Brutal. You are a true champion of gore and human suffering (at least in the Psych universe). I love it.
It all starts with a clown. And a mugging. But who would mug a cop?
Lassiter's gun is stolen, and Shawn's "abilities" are the key to catching the bad guy, as usual. But sometimes there is a price to be paid that even Shawn's talents can't cover.

An excellent start to your story. I am already intrigued with this and wherever it might be leading to. I look forward to more of this.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it so far.
“This was delivered to me. This morning. At six-thirty in the morning.”
“Where do you suppose it came from?”
They say things happen for a reason. But what if you knew certain things were going to happen, and you changed them? Would that be for a reason, too?
It's the kind of thing you think about when you get tomorrow's newspaper today.

I say keep it and continue. The idea is definitely interesting and I am glad to say I actually recall that show, as well. Having checked out your other writing, I've got to say that you have enough talent to pull this story off. I look forward to more of this.
Author's Response: Well thank you for the compliment! I am always nervous when posting something, never knowing if it's good enough to stand up to most of the well-written stuff on here.

I'm amazed at how much I am enjoying your story, so far. There are so many different directions you can go with this and I can't wait to read more of it. Please continue to pump out chapters, this is good.

This story keeps getting better and better the farther you get into it. I really like where you're taking things and I hope that you have the next chapter out soon.
Author's Response: I appreciate the interest--I do indeed have an underlying storyline that is going to take Shawn on quite an adventure.
Takes place between Season 3 and 4. This story started as an idea to explain what happened to Lassiter's red Crown Victoria and evolved into so much more.

I'm not much for reviewing because I'm just terrible at communicating with people in general, but I just had to say something. I read this story and loved it, a whole hell of a lot. You are an excellent writer and captured everyone's voices perfectly. Good job, and I look forward to reading more of your work.
Author's Response: You communicated very well, thanks! Makes me so happy, believe me.
Hitchhiking in the rain = bad idea
Getting a ride from a homical maniac = worse idea
Stopping for the night in a motel full of potential victims = Worst idea in the history of bad ideas

A brilliant beginning to something awesome, I'm sure. I was blown away by the visual details you so expertly conveyed in this first chapter. The setting and the time frame were excellent and beyond the normal fair, something that's so refreshing to read.
The narrative flow, something that I believe to be the most important aspect of writing good fiction, was topnotch and left me feeling utterly satisfied by the end. You seriously need to continue this and finish it; it is simply cool as all hell.
Man, I could gush like this forever. So to keep myself from gushing, I will simply end with this: Awesome!
Author's Response: Wow! Incredible review! Feedback half as good as this is what I hope to get whevever I post! I will be quoting 'cool as hell' to myself forever!

Dwight is a brilliantly portrayed psychopath, full of nuances and personality traits that make him feel so horribly real.
I was thunderstruck by the level of detail put into this that I lost track of myself completely. Way to suck me completely into the story, Veggie. This is truly your best work and it puts you at a higher level as a writer than you were before in my eyes (for whatever that's worth). Just simply excellent work, I applaud you.
Author's Response: I was so convinced that people were either gonna read and be left sitting there blinking blankly at the screen or yell at me for calling it horror when it wasn't at all unnerving that it took me a good 10 minutes after sorting the sub page to actully hit add story. I just read this review and literally hid my face in my hands and cried, this is just the mozt wonderful collection of words I could have imagined
