When you live in the middle of nowhere and you're too young to drive there's not really much to do. So reading became that something in 4th grade and its stuck ever since. However, I've been writing even longer, and I would write myself little stories and games to play when I was younger and got bored really easily (actually I still do get bored really easily......hm.) But I seriously got into writing in 5th grade after we had to write a little narrative and I seriously enjoyed doing it. My story was one of the longest in the class. Ever since then, my narratives and stories for English class are still usually the longest and most in depth. As one of my friends has told me, I'd be stupid not to become a writer.
Now, fanfiction is an easy way to fill up my need to write. If I get seriously interested or, a much more accurate word, obsessed with a certain show, book, manga or movie, I'll want to write something about it.
This is where Psych comes in. I am in LOVE with the show and seriously needed some fanfiction and was lucky enough to find this site! The stories on here rock and the writers are amazing.
“That’s just it, Shawn. Everything you need is always right in front of you. You just have to pay attention.”
Shawn's deception of being a psychic is about to get more complicated and he doesn't think he's going to be able to handle the repercussions.

Gah! Look how long it's been since you updated this D:
But I still have to say that this is a really, really great story. Everybody's in character and the storyline really got me hooked. And poor Shawn and Juliet getting blown up! Gah!
Loved this. You're just awesome aren't you? Making this site, writing this fic. Wow. Just wow.
Eleven years ago, Shawn was a key player in the sting of a serial killer - and nearly became another victim in the process.
No one knew.
Now former acquaintances from a secret life are dropping by, the horrible past that Shawn thought was buried is being dug up, and the murders have resumed - and Shawn is the main target on the hit list.
With the psychic unwilling to give up any more information about his mysterious past than he has to, will his friends and family be able to protect him?
Or will a killer's thirst for revenge be fulfilled?

So I know I already told you most of this, and you said that I didn't have to review, but oh well. I'm doing it anyway. :P
This. Is. Amazing. A couple other people already seem to have said it, but you just took this and made it incredibly poetic. The entire wording just flows so well that it doesn't feel like something I'm reading on a computer. It feels so much more like I'm seeing it all happen.
The structure makes it all the more powerful, and causes you to focus directly on Juliet's emotions, and why she's feeling that way.
The entire thing feels like it comes in flashes. Every paragraph tells us something new about what's happening to her, to the point where I almost want to jump ahead to see what she's feeling next, but I can't because I'm so absorbed in the writing of the rest of the paragraph.
Gah, the Shules angst.
I LOVE THIS. And that is all.

Man, you and Jenn are just fantastic writers. But surely, you must already know this.
This really brings everything full circle by also showing us how Shawn got there, what he was feeling and how worried he is over Juliet.
The structure works just as well from Shawn's point of view as it did from Juliet's. Sometimes it's hard to really, really know what's going on with Shawn and his emotions, but this really forces you to focus directly on that, and it makes everything so flawless.
Your companion piece to this centers everything. Juliet was in a bit of chaos in her description, what with the pain and the shock, whereas Shawn knows what's happening and that he has to do something.
Sorry if that didn't make a lot of sense, but I'm just kind of in awe over these two pieces. Hehe. AMAZING JOB. I LOVE BOTH OF THESE SO MUCH. :)

Shawn, Juliet, AND the car all in one fell swoop. You evil mastermind.
;_; Gus is in shock and guh that's too perfect. Because that is too instant for him to really GET it right away. Guh, poor Gus. *hugs him*
He knew for a fact that he was in shock when his only rational thought was that it would be a pain to get a new company car.
Good job, Mia. I liked it a lot. <3

Awwww. Mia this was one of the sweetest things ever. I totally loved it and all it's fluffy romance-ness. I really don't have anything constructive to say in this review, just gushing over it, lol. <3
Author's Response: Lol. Thanks, kiddo. Gushing is a perfectly acceptable form of praise.
Five times Shawn didn't go to confession and the one time he did.

Pat just showed this to me and I loooooved it and thought I should tell you.
I just love the obvious guilt Shawn has to feel about a lot of the stuff he's done, but just appears to brush off in the show. That's kind of the essence of Shawn's character in a way: just trying to push off the deeper things and hide them with humor and snarky-ness. So, yeah, love the whole background of this story too.
"However, some faces haunted him more than others. People who'd believed his stories. People who'd given him his trust. People who'd let him into their lives, believing he was an employee, a counselor, or even their friend."
THIS. I seriously love this part and the guilt he feels over the lies, and especially that scene in There Might Be Blood. Just seriously, it's exactly how Shawn must feel sometimes, and I'm glad that you've put that out here.
"He wanted to kill her. If someone put a gun in his hand, he would try. No doubt about it."
OMG ILY FOR THIS. An Evening With Mr. Yang (and it's follow-up of course) is one of my favorite Psych episodes ever and I love tags for this. And this one, particulary the above line, just totally rocks my socks. Seriously.
And the ending, ah, the ending with Shawn and Gus-ness. <3
Very, very well done. Loved it. :D
But who knew that convicting this man would be so difficult? And who knew that everything Juliet was trying so hard to forget would become front-page news?
The aftermath of Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark. Because sometimes cases aren't so easy to close. Even when you catch the guy red-handed.
Major spoilers for Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark, obviously. Minor spoilers will be posted before each chapter as need be.

So I'd seen this and the sequel on the Most Recent list before, but I always seemed to be looking for a specific story or I'd get part of the way into the first chapter and not have the time, or I just thought "I'll read it later." And now I'm kicking myself for not reading it earlier.
I. LOVED. THIS. I read a lot of the tags to Shawn Takes A Shot in the Dark, and there were some really good ones. But yours just takes the pineapple upside-down cake. The writing was spectacular and I envy your ability to word and describe things so perfectly. The characters were super spot-on, to the point of me being able to envision this entire thing as an episode. And the plot moved so fluidly I had to tear myself away from this last night to actually get some sleep and I was eager to get back to it this morning.
AMAZING story. I loved all of it. Now I'm off to read the sequel and the sequel's sequel. :)
Head Detective Carlton Lassiter thought Shawn's request seemed innocent enough—"Give me a ride in your car."
Life would still be simple and good if his answer had just been "NO."
And now he's stuck in the middle of nowhere with one injured and extremely annoying fake psychic pestering him with no hope of rescue any time soon. That is, if they can manage to make it out alive...without killing each other first.
And YES, Shawn gets whumped something fierce. He'll never know what hit him.
This one story is answering four challenges at once. I'm nothing if not ambitious.

Okay so school totally sucked today and I thought today was going to completely bomb but then I come home and see that this story has been updated! I hope you're glad that you officially made my day better. :)
Poor, poor Shawn. Lucky for him nobody here at PsychFic is a writer for the show or the guy would end up in the hospital every single episode. Not that that would be a bad thing....
And hooray for seven chapters! Keep it up! :)

okay, so I just have to say that I totally love this story. Lassiter is totally awesome and Shawn's just freaking hilarious as always. Plus, there's Shawn whump. Need I say more? Buzz is great of course, just like he is in "This Stalker Thing Kind of Sucks". Speaking of that, don't forget to update that story too! You can't just leave it hanging like that! Thanks for writing!
