Dude, what am I supposed to SAY right now?!?! This chapter was so sad and beautiful and intriguing, I don't know how I can possibly react.
The Juliet part. One word. Beautiful. And sad. So three words. God, is broke my HEART. Imagining Carlton's reaction to her grief, perfect, absolutely PERFECT. And then the realization that he's actually dead. GUHHHHHHHHHHHH. Her grief is so so so freaking heartbreaking and well written! I also love how she feels distant from Shawn's storyline, that's really interesting to me for some reason. And her feeling that something was WRONG felt so right to me -- because something IS wrong! It isn't supposed to be like this, and the consequences of Shawn's choice are impacting everyone.
"You're tougher than this...” Her voice shook out the words and let them fall to the tile. This line almost made Pat cry...something about a character sounding choked when they say soemthing (as I imagined Juliet here) is even worse than them actually crying for me. ;_;
I love the voice taking a physical form, and her being still hidden from Shawn, by not having a face. And I love this character in the fog! I don't even know who they are, but the salute they give Shawn, the smile, it just fills me with a feeling I can't identify. For some reason it makes me think of the Father in The Devil's In the Details...and the Upstairs Bedroom, I have no idea why.
“What gave you... any... right?” Shawn's voice scraped past his teeth in a stiff whisper. Just LOOKING at this line again made me tear up. I feel SO FREAKING MUCH for Shawn here. What gave her ANY right to screw up his life anymore than it already had been? How could she DO something like this to him? The unfairness of it all can be heard in his tone and it's heartbreaking.
And yet I feel sorry for the voice. She tried, she really did, but Shawn's life doesn't seem to have any happy ending in sight (I blame you :P).
And that last line, wow. You've got me SUPER INTRIGUED with that. I'm left all sorts of questions: Who is she (Mae, someone we've never met?)? Is God really behind this, and if not, what else could it be? Can Shawn go back to normal, can ANYTHING in his world be set right again? I can't wait for you to update again, both for the answers, and the powerful emotion you pack into every one of these chapters.

*insert a thousand profanities here*
Yeah, I don't have much more to say than that. Only that this story grips me in a way that only so few have, that you're awesome, and that I really want you to finish this story.
*screams and swears some more while spazzing*

ODISVHEGORGHOHIOHFVIORGHIOHFGOHOG!!!!!!!
Yeah, spazz. Duuuuuuude, Shawn killing himself was amazing (I feel like I should feel bad for saying that). It reminded me so much of the scene in Fury when Shawn tried to kill himself, with the dream like tone, but this time it was for a completely different reason - he was doing it to set his world right instead of just trying to escape it. Nonetheless, the visual image of the scene gave me chiilllls. sdiofgeorghg. Something I found really interesting was Shawn's almost reluctance to leave that world behind - like by going back to his own world he was physically leaving these people. It makes me imagine that in that alternate universe, Shawn really did kill himself, while the Shawn in this universe is okay. *deep thoughts* You always make me think, I love that. I just adored that chapter, how you built up to it so subtly, him saying his goodbyes and grabbing the gun. You never SAY he's going to, but we KNOW, and I just love that!
And this chapter too, wonderful. Shawn getting back to his own world, his own MOTHER (so sweet).

Yay, you updated. I'm loving the story so far, and I like the interesting turn that this has taken. Your last few lines are very dramatic, and they're really great. I love how Liam isn't showing them his drawings, and how his gift is always a bit of a mystery. Love it Paper! =)

Love this chapter Paper, I think you have Henry spot on. I LOVED the dinner scene, and I thought you did a wonderful job of writing it and Liam's guilt over the things that he thinks made happen. I love the conversation in that scene SO much, it was amazing. LOVE love love this chapter Paper, can't wait for more! =)

Great chapter Paper! I love Gus's excitement at Jules being pregnant, and it's so Gus like! I also love that he wants to keep it from Shawn, and that Juliet is going to play along, lol. You really have the characters down, and I love Liam so much! I love his attempts to make pancakes, and not even realize he's failing, because that's just such a little kid thing. I'm excited by Liam's vision, and I can't wait to see what happens with teh mystery here. Love it, can't wait for more Paper! <3

Woohoo update! I liked tihs chapter, Paper, I liked it very much. I love how Shawn and Juliet are REALLY tiptoeing a line here, trying to give Liam enough information to satisfy him, but also let him keep his innocence. I think it's really interesting to see how they both succede and fail in that area. Sick!Shawn also makes me very happy. xDDDD Great chapter, Paper, can't wait for more!
Death is precarious at best. When it happens in the manner of one giving up their life for another, the person left behind can only take it all in and try to understand why.

I have read the shiny new (old i guess to you) death fic. I'm very glad I did, because it's great! Poor Lassie, so much guilt over Shawn's death. You describe it so well, and the scene is very vivid in my mind. Loved it Stray! :)
Author's Response: Aw, Pat, thank you so much! I wanted to showcase Lassiter\'s guilt and give good descriptions so thanks for commenting on my hard work. :D
