I've been writing, if you want to be technical, since I was six years old. My first efforts were usually four page, stapled together picture stories about animals. I could easily drift far and wide into imagination land with my favorite characters- up to creating a whole world where I existed with them as one of their friends.
At the time, I had these stories in my head only- and it wasn't until my teen years that they began to appear on paper.
My first fanfic, if I remember correctly, was Star Trek. I don't really remember what it was about- and I think I deleted it fairly quickly. Keep in mind, I didn't have my own computer, so all my efforts were saved to a floppy disk. (yes, ancient, I know!)
My first posted piece was an X Files story. Again, I don't remember what I wrote... though this is likely for the best.
I slowly began writing more and more.
The first series that really catapulted me into fanatic was Monk. I actually joined a group- created a page- and corresponded daily with other fans. This lasted about a year or two. As it was, there was no unified gathering spot. People appeared randomly before being swallowed up once more by other interests. I eventually quit writing for the series completely.
I grew interested in anime in the meantime- dabbling with a few stories here and there. I met a like minded woman after posting one of my longer stories. She liked my work, and invited me to join her writing group called Crackbunny Syndrome. Along with two other people, they'd begun writing a story that was slowly growing from a minor bit of fun into something far, far more than ever could have been anticipated. The story can be found here: (on going) Balance of Power
It was during the second season of Psych that I first discovered Psychfic. Having only had an on and off interest in the series prior to this, my interest suddenly skyrocketed when I began reading the fanfic that was being posted here. Previously, the only fic I knew of was the material on fanfic.net. Discovering this community was simply the most fabulous online experience I've had to date.
Suddenly I was in love with the show!! Going back to watch episodes I'd missed, I wondered how I could ever have let myself miss a single one!
It wasn't long before I began writing fanfic.
I haven't stopped since.

[Reviews - 13] He had plenty of time to think. Plenty of time to get over it and get back to his version of normal. But hard as he tries, that voice keeps coming back. And he's starting to think he'll never have normal again.

Is it really that hard to get a little bit of sympathy? Does he need to be bleeding for someone to see that he's in pain? And care? Wait a minute - is that his dad's house?

Shawn and Gus have enjoyed a wide variety of sports. However, maybe they should leave skiing to the professionals.

Sure, they fight like any friends who are actually adopted brothers would. But Gus could never imagine doing this to his best friend. Until one night he's forced to.

Sure he was good looking, charming, funny as hell. I just didn't realize he was also the one- and that he would bring me back to life.

She should have just gone ahead and done what she’d told Lassiter she’d planned to do- go home, take a shower, and pass out for the next eight hours.
