A late night Final Destination movie marathon for two friends.  A late night convenience store robbery gone awry for three friends.  In the blink of an eye, two events collide and five lives are thrown together.

While in the hospital recovering from a tonsillectomy, Shawn’s roommate rouses him, frantic over a murder he claims to have witnessed in the alley below their window.  After an investigation reveals nothing, Shawn is forced to croak those dreaded words: no body, no crime.  If only it was that easy.  If only the real life Gaylord Focker wasn’t his nurse and wasn’t making his hospital stay a living hell.  If only he could leave the hospital without losing more than his tonsils.

In 1987, two robbers were responsible for the shootings of three people in a bank robbery spree that lasted for months.  Henry Spencer fatally shot one of those robbers during their final heist.  The other robber, and brother of the deceased, was sentenced to forty-five years in prison with the possibility of parole in twenty-two.

The robber has just been paroled and he has thought about only two people in the last twenty-two years: his brother and the police officer who killed him.  Let the games begin.
