Since I don't have nearly as good a writing ability as some of y'all, I'm issuing a challenge.  Huzzah.
Anywho, I want to see a lazy day.  Sitting around the house, not wanting to get up on a lovely Sunday morning, or even a boring afternoon at the SBPD.  Shules, Gus/Shawn, Lassiter, heck even throw Buzz in there if you feel the urge to do so.  Any character is welcome in this challenge.  Can be single shot, can be in chapter form, however you write best. 

 This is the first time I'm issuing a challenge, so I hope y'all take it.  It just so happens that today is a lazy day for me (not to mention a Sunday), so you can see where I'm getting my inspiration.

"Unlike most sleeping disorders, African Sleeping Sickness is contagious. The disease, which has several regional strains in Africa, is carried by tsetse flies living in woodland thickets of savanna and dense vegetation along streams, according to CDC reports. Symptoms start to appear a few weeks after infection. Skin lesions, swollen lymph nodes and skin rashes are the early symptoms. As the disease progresses, the circadian rhythms are reversed. Victims stop sleeping at night and can't stay awake during the day. If left untreated, they lapse into a coma and die. The whole process plays out in weeks or at most a few months. Roughly 25,000 cases of African Sleeping Sickness are reported every year, according to the World Health Organization."

I want Shawn to get this sickness and for it to play out in a multi chaptered season fanfiction. Only Shawn can get it, it must progress to a far reaching point but he cannot die and it can't be pre- or post-season. Try to thrown in a case that Shawn works despite feeling like crap since he'd insist on working the case. I really just want angst and whump here!
