YOU DID IT AGAIN!
*flails madly*
I DON’T KNOW HOW YOU DID IT – BUT YOU DID IT!!!!!
*flails madly again*
GUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I love this so completely! I think it fills in so many blanks and fits in so well with Shawn’s character. Taking such a trip IS a big step in a direction he’s just not sure he can contemplate.
And Abigail! I LOVE WHAT YOU’VE DONE WITH HER! Seriously, you have mad skills…like whoas! It’s just so, so, so sweet…and even in the banter and the feelings, you’ve captured Shawn’s insecurities as well.
I truly can’t tell you how much I adore this piece for so many reasons. Shawn is a struggling puppy and we see just how much he can’t bring himself to reveal too much of his true self either for fear of rejection…or possibly worse, the fear that he just might be accepted. It’s too good! All of it!
And Gus! Oh Gus! The master of relationships ‘cause he’s been married before! *wipes tears of laughter* But even in the patheticness of that statement, it’s just lovely because Gus really believes it. *huggles Gus*
I just love these two boys and the way you portray them. You deserve much more attention that what you currently are getting and that saddens me because these have such an authentic feel that it makes me make embarrassing squeals of glee. Seriously. I can’t stop myself.
No forgiveness is necessary for either the beginning, the middle, or especially the end. None whatsoever. And I truly think you are right about Shawn’s morals. They are there…somewhere. Perhaps in a box under his bed. And at night, when no one is looking, he pulls them out of the box and rifles through them longingly.
Or I’m just seriously behind on sleep.
Author's Response:
I love your responses to what I write. It's so entertaining and I read them over and over until my eyes burn from looking at the computer screen because I'm just so enthralled by your words. And I know there have only been two of them, but still, I read them whenever I log on because I love them so much. So, for that, I thank you.
I also thank you that you're one of the select few who have attempted to read this story. Or, stories. I think I deserve a bit more attention, too, and that's not in a selfish way. I just think I worked hard on these and no one reads or appreciates what they have read enough to review. Maybe it's a good thing that no one is posting what they really thought of the stories and they don't want to hurt my feelings. In that regard, I'm glad that people are staying silent. But however you spin it, you're officially my favorite reviewer because you hit all the points and not just one little area that you enjoyed. Thank you, my friend.

I like the idea that Shawn was too afraid of commitment to tell her!
Author's Response: Thank you! So do I. I know that that is not the case and that Shawn Spencer is practically moral-less, but I thought it would be a good premise for a tag. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

Don't get so down on yourself in the disclaimer! Dude, this was awesome!!!!!!! I love hearing Bianca's opinion, and I totally love her catching Shawn eating the paperdeli!!!!
Author's Response:
I'm just a downer when it comes to myself; it's something that cannot be stopped. But thanks for your encouragement. Please know that it does not go unappreciated.
I'm very happy that you enjoyed the first installment of my lengthy project. It makes me believe that my work has not gone unnoticed or under-appreciated. I hope you stick with this and enjoy every bit as much as you enjoyed this.

First of all….MARVELOUS story!!! On so many levels! Fleshing out a character we saw only briefly, putting it all together so that I no longer hate this girl, but actually feel for her. It’s funny and real.
But most of all, you have really hit on something that I’ve never seen mentioned before in fic. It’s an oft ignored subject that truly deserves much more attention than it gets. The level of criminality is such that I can’t think on it too long, having been a victim myself. I truly believe that there is a special room in hell reserved for offenders of this crime.
People who steal other’s lunches from the company fridge should be drawn and quartered, tarred and feathered, hung from the highest tree AND burnt at the stake. And then they should be punished!!!
I can’t even tell you how amazing this was that you took that one little moment and created this! I love it!!!!!!
I, for one, am so excited to see what your amazing brain does with other little moments that we’ve seen on the screen, but perhaps didn’t really pay attention at the time. Thanks for posting!
Author's Response:
WOW! (again) I can honestly say (again) that I didn't expect a response like that. I'm so glad you enjoyed this so thoroughly and that you plan on returning when something else is posted. This idea has been floating around in my "amazing brain" (which, I do not concur with – but thank you for the compliment, it never gets old) since season three ended. This was supposed to be a project I worked on until the season four premiere, but life got in the way and it never happened. I finally had time to sit down and write this one down figuring that I should at least get one thing posted as I haven't written anything substantial in almost a year. I like the idea that other things could have happened but weren't put in the show, so I had to act on it. Once something is in my mind, I can't get it out. It can be awful sometimes, but apparently it's a good thing this time. So once again, thank you.
You're right – stealing in any form is a crime. It's one thing to steal someone's jewelry or something that means something, but TO STEAL SOMEONE'S HOMEMADE PASTA FROM THE COMPANY FRIDGE!?! THAT'S PREPOSTEROUS! You've been a victim? If you count having a lunch being stolen from your friends from your locker, then I have too. It wasn't a company fridge ("I thought it was for everyone!"), but I don't know the circumstances of your victimization either, so I won't speak for you. I feel your pain. Together, with Bianca, we should form a fund – a foundation of sorts – for people who have had their lunches taken from them. We can serve anyone from company fridge thefts to elementary school kids who've had their money taken from them. We could do a lot of good, you and me. And Bianca.

Wow. You weren't kidding when you said you wanted to put your best foot forward in writing because this is clearly putting both your feet forward.
Bianca was fleshed out so wonderfully that I didn't for one second believe she wasn't a real character. I mean, she is basically a character of your own creation given her miniscule scenes and background information in the episode. You wrote her as an incredible three dimensional character who I honestly yearned to know more about and wished I could make Shawn see what he was taking away from her in taking her food.
I love the way you drew out the scene and created a whole other dynamic to the episode. Bianca going in and slapping Gus (poor guy, didn't do anything wrong) as her own means of telling Shawn to shove it was a very nice finishing touch.
I also love how you had the note at the end and Bianca write down his number before throwing it away. You once again added tantamount amounts of personality to her character with that one action. (Then again should I be surprised now that I remember she is the bosses mistress? Humm.) Either way - I liked it.
You wrote a well though out, absorbing, living little story here and gave face to an otherwise faceless character. Nicely done.

Author's Response:
Wow, that was a lot more than I was expecting in a review. I would have settled for "Nice characterization of Bianca. LOLZ@ her slapping Gus." Thank you so much – it was a joy being able to create a different perspective of Psych. I like to think that if Bianca happened to see the show that she would be very angry that Shawn was famous for doing things like stealing other people's lunches.
She was Mr. Haversham's mistress. You didn't remember that? I'm glad I could refresh your memory then. I can't see their relationship heading in any sort of good direction, but I thought I'd add that just as a gesture that she did not, in fact, hate Shawn. He's a pretty un-hatable guy.
