Oblivion is my favorite video game and Psych is one of my all time favorite shows, so I BLEW through this and I LOVE IT!!!!! God I hope Shawn ends up helping out HOK- especially if they go to The Shiver Isles at some point, because I think Sheogorath would like Shawn. AMAZING FIC!!!

You're slaying me with feels here. This was so good - what a wild ride, what with the mystery and the drama and the magic! I can barely put in a list all the things I loved about it. Lassiter's relationship with the cat lady was so soft, so wholesome: Lassie overcoming his own prejudices and being the good man he is, ready to stand up for those who deserve it. And Juliet slipping him a Magick scroll despite the risks involved? The masterfully built retelling of the episode (pure genius)? Lassie's race, which sounds more than perfect (btw I need to reply to your message in the forum because you left me DEAD)? They're amazing. This story was everything I wanted from it, and it really feels like reading off a fantasy book. :D Thank you so so so much.
Author's Response: Ahhhh, I'm unbelievably glad that you liked it!! I was hoping you would! Especially with Lassiter and the cat lady, because I wasn't sure how that would go over, but *yes,* he's such a good man inside! Lassiter and Juliet work so well together no matter what setting they're in! You just made my day! I'm glad I could make something that made you happy. :-D

Henry is so in character! And I know that his lines were taken mostly from the scene itself, but I love that even in this world he denies magic and relies on his own skills instead! XD
“If you do get your head cut off, Malacath will watch over your soul until I avenge you,” Buzz said hopefully.
“Thanks, Mnab,” Lassiter said between his gritted teeth. “Aetherius knows that Stendarr will never take my soul now.”
I have no idea what they're talking about but this is still hysterical XDD
“We believe you, Lassie,” Shawn jumped in before things could get even more tense. “And we’ll solve this case, I promise. You’re like our brother!”
“Eh…” Gus said.
“Stepbrother?”
Gus winced.
“Weird kid who lives down the street and eats nothing but scuttle on potato bread?”
Bahahahaha! XDD I don't remember if this is in the episode or not, but this is still hysterical!
For several seconds, Lassiter just stared at the two of them. Then something like a light seemed to die in the back of his eyes and he curled up on the floor with his back against the wall. “Fine. I don't care anymore.” He reached up and yanked the silver cup-shaped amulet of Stendarr off his neck and tossed it through the bars of the cell.
NOOOOOOOO no no no Lassie baby ;~; (I may or may not have said that out loud XD) On that note, coming nearer to the end of the story, OH MY GOSH, depressed Lassie is BREAKING my little heart! I wanna hug him and make him better~ Juliet's not better off without you!
And also this was gold:
Lassiter grinned and collected his amulet of Stendarr from the floor where he'd thrown it earlier. “Who's the master of magicka now?”
As Lassiter hurried to follow the Khajiit down into a half-forgotten tunnel, he muttered to himself, “That was the only spell I know.

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT ENDING?!
I actually almost love this MORE than the ending for the real episode! The whole thing with losing the amulet - just YES. All the yes! All throughout the show you can't help but feel like there should be something more to Shawn, and having him constantly on the brink of insanity in this fic just makes this entire AU perfect =D Even if it's outlandish becuase, y'know, magic AU, I still feel like that theme would work in the series, with Shawn just trying to keep himself sane~ I mean, not with him being SUPER super insane, but yeah. You know what I mean. I just love it X3

Hahaha this is perfect - I love your fantasy Shawn and fantasy Jules so so much. And Spine-Apple is pure genius. I have no idea what Moon Sugar is, but I loved the bit where Shawn rapidly dropped his wayward act to comfort dear Juliet. Can't wait to see what other scenes you're gonna remake! I have a couple things I'd love to see in a fantasy setting ;D
Author's Response: I'm glad you love them so much! I love them too, and I'm hoping to get some Fantasy Lassie action into the story soon!
Moon sugar is a substance that's used to make a powerful narcotic (Skooma), and it's dangerous to everyone except for one specific group of people (the Khajiit, who are actually the most susceptible to Skooma addiction). I think I'm going to get into the whole moon sugar/skooma thing later on in the story, as I have them start to investigate some crimes.
If you have suggestions, I'd love to hear them! I could use a few ideas!!

When it started I wasn't sure where you were gonna end up with this - and the the words "yellow" and "fruit" finally clicked in my head and I was like, "Oh! Duh" XDD I LOVE this little snippet~! It's so sweet (apparently TOO sweet for Jules :P) and you really added an extra kick with the Skooma in the end there (what IS it with us and drugs this last week? XD) It made me really curious about exactly what it is that Juliet saw. Although I do have to say that I did laugh out loud just a bit when I saw the word Skooma in a serious sentence. XD It just sounds ridiculous, lol!

DUDE! I'M SCREAMING!! I liked this a lot. I love fantasy aus, and this promises so well - reminds me of the Throne of Glass series and such, style-wise: great pace and easy, flowing writing. And I'm not gonna lie, I adore High Elf Juliet. And wielding a super badass greatsword, too. Man, the fanart this would deserve. Now I'm curious what race Carlton is going to be, too! :P

This makes me happy! =D I loved finding the tiny details that differ from the actual scene in the show~ And I LOVE that Shawn used real magic to make her own voice sound back! That was neat ^^ This version of Juliet seems way more confident and it'll be awesome to see how that changes things =D

Yeah, I think that Juliet seemed a little too timid in the first couple episodes. As a detective, I would figure that she'd have to have more experience than what she was portrayed as having, so I wanted her to have an awesome butt-kicking moment in this universe. :-D
