Author's Chapter Notes:
I plan to make this into a series of books since the Marvel Universe revolves around continuity. Each story won't be much more than five chapters long, and they will all incorporate your favorite characters from Psych into the Marvel Universe.
I am the Watcher. I see all.

My species' purpose is to watch the many different worlds of many different universes. Some universes are perfect, and no evil thought is ever mentioned. Some universes are brimming with destruction. Some universes are teeming with marvelous beings who fight evil and bring peace to their planets.

This is one of them.

These marvels, these heroes, rise from the dust and become things that can only be described as amazing, invincible, mighty, fantastic, strong, and noble. Sometimes those heroes fall.

But life goes on.

I have witnessed life, death, and revival. Now, however, we focus on one young man's adventures.

To learn about him, we must turn back the clock.

"Attention aircraft, this is Agent Clay Quartermain of SHIELD. You are in restricted airspace. Respond immediately and identify yourself or force will be used."

The high ranking SHIELD agent had been in a command tower at a SHIELD base not too far from New York City when an unidentified aircraft made its way over the base.

Agent Quartermain waited a few more seconds, but the ship kept on flying, not attempting to communicate.

"Send two quinjets after that plane!" the agent ordered, "Scan it, get an ID!"

"Sir, Agent Coulson is on the line. He is requesting to speak to you immediately."

After making sure his orders had been carried out, Agent Quartermain put on a headset.

"What is it Phil?"

"There's an AIM ship heading your way. They stole McIntyre's body from us, take them down now!"

Clay quickly ordered the quinjets to shoot down the aircraft. Whoever was on that ship had the dead body of Clinton McIntyre on it. McIntyre was one of the first recipients of the super soldier serum during World War II. The serum was unstable and he was killed. However, SHIELD had preserved the body since then, and his blood still contained some of the prototype serum. Something like was bad in the wrong hands.

"What is AIM?" Clay questioned Coulson after he had ordered two more quinjets after the ship.

"They're a small, but growing group of intelligent scientists. Do not underestimate them. They can do a lot with a super soldier serum."

"Sir! The ship just went stealth! We can't track it!" A pilot's voice crackled over the intercom.

Quartermain's heart skipped a beat. "Coulson? We have a problem."

--Several hours later--

The AIM ship had traveled a long way, and it finally ran out of fuel by the time it reached California, forcing the pilot aboard to land.

AIM scientist, George Tarleton, brought his small, yellow ship down to rest in an open field. The sky was very dark, so nobody was around, however, the scientists was very excited.

"Ever since I joined AIM, I have been mocked for not being as intelligent as other scientists," Tarleton muttered to himself. "But now I have the key to unlock the super soldier serum that nobody has been able to replicate!"

The crazed scientist loudly cheered for himself, not entirely aware that nobody was around. He continued to converse with himself for several more minutes before realizing that he had no idea where he was.

"Computer, what is my location? Find me the nearest civilized area."

A map popped up on his ship's screen.

"Locating nearest civilized area--bzzzt--civilization found. You are currently ten miles north from the city of Santa Barbara.

Chapter End Notes:
For you comic book readers, you may recognize some easter eggs in this first chapter that may foretell future events. This story won't be much more than an origin story of a few superheroes and villains. I'll be following the actual events that happen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but currently, this story takes place after Iron Man 2.
