The story title and the name of the main (ghost) character are a slightly-altered reference to the Aerosmith song "Janie's Got A Gun," which also lent a few elements to the plot... The experiences of the librarian in this story are purely my own. My great-grandfather really did die of ALS in 1962, and it's even scarier than this story makes it out to be.
